Most states allow you to prepay for your funeral with an irrevocable account without affecting your eligibility for any of these government benefits.

Remember that once funds are placed in an irrevocable account, those funds can only be used for funeral expenses. They can not be refunded to you or used for any other purpose, but you may change your funeral arrangements at any time.
